From a reference style to a development brief

Our website brings together men’s and women’s jeans, jackets, shirts, skirts, shorts, dresses and overalls. These styles help buyers communicate a direction. Selecting a reference is the start of development: the fit, material, wash and brand details still need to be agreed for your collection.

Send a design drawing, reference garment or clear photographs, together with your target market and estimated quantity. Explain what should stay the same and what should change. A close-up of a pocket or seam can be more useful than a long description of the overall look.

Connecting sewing and washing

ZHIZHI’s garment and denim washing facilities support development from construction through finishing. These stages need to be discussed together: the chosen fabric, garment structure and finish all contribute to the result you review in a sample.

Before approving a sample, compare its measurements, proportions, stitching, shade and hand feel with the agreed brief. Record any requested changes. Keep the approved reference identifiable so that the production team and your buying team are referring to the same version.

What is confirmed before production?

• The approved sample and measurement specifications.
• Fabric and finishing requirements, including the agreed wash reference.
• Labels, trims, packaging and the required quantity breakdown.
• Price, production schedule and shipping arrangements for the actual order.

A photograph alone does not establish fabric composition, weight or production tolerance. Those details belong in the confirmed specification.
